Griffon Doodle Pups
Griffon Doodles, also known as Griff Doodles or Griffondoodles, are a designer breed mix between a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon and a Standard Poodle.
About Our Griffon Doodles...
Our Griffon Doodles are a cross between an AKC Wirehaired Pointing Griffon and AKC Standard Poodle. And, already exhibit the best of both breeds. These dogs will make excellent companions, guard dogs and hunting dogs. Mom, Luna, is a fabulous watch dog and carries herself as a poodle should. She is a fabulous athlete and comes from a line of winning competitors. Dad, Poncho, is very compliant and is a pleaser. Even though he loves to lay by the fire in winter, he also loves to hunt and swim. He comes from a line of champion hunting dogs.
These Griffon Doodle puppies love to be with our family and are happiest when being held. We have had DNA analysis done by Embark, on two pups so far, and they will be low shedding, will grow to about 45 lbs and are super-healthy. DNA tests are underway on the remaining seven pups and will be available upon request.
All of the Griff Doodles are almost completely litter box trained with very few accidents. They have had dew claws removed and tails docked and their first round of vaccines. We require two sets of Parvo vaccines before we let them go to their new homes. Our vets have records of care and are happy to answer any questions about the puppies. We are seen by Cielo Grande Veterinary Clinic. While we absolutely adore our pups, they will be ready for their new homes on February 16th.
Our Griffon Doodle pups are played with daily by our three youngest girls. We bathe them weekly and blow-dry them. We feed them Taste of The Wild High Prairie Puppy Recipe. We use Zuke’s Natural Dog Treats for training.

Our Griffon Doodle Puppy Names
This is Luna’s first litter and we decided to name them after great songs of the 1970’s, along with one of my dad’s favorite folk-songs, “Waltzing Matilda.” My parents first danced to “Elvira” by the Oak Ridge Boys. We had votes for “Sharona”, “Roxanne” and “Fancy”, but had trouble findings lyrics we didn’t have to explain to our kids. 😉 These Griffon Doodles pups have the best names!
We live on a small farm in the Pecos Valley of Southeastern New Mexico. We have five beautiful daughters, three of whom are still at home and all of whom love animals. The youngest three have worked hard in caring for these Griffon Doodle puppies. We have cattle, a horse, peafowl, ducks, guineas, lots of chickens, one old tom turkey, two barn cats, one indoor cat, a small poodle mix we adopted and Luna and Poncho and their nine pups. Our hearts are full.
Felina (Orange Collar) is the perfect example of an “independent-snuggler.” She is smart and loving. Blacker than night are the eyes of this young maiden.
Elvira (Dark Pink Collar), is a big girl who loves to be in charge. She will be a fabulous watch dog and protector of her family. Your heart will be on fire for Elvira!
Layla (Light Blue Collar) wants to be in our laps at all times. She is the furthest along in learning to sit for treats. Layla will be the kind of best friend to ease your worried mind.
Jolene (Yellow Collar) is one of the smaller girls with a huge heart. She is happiest when we are holding her. Don’t let her take your man.
Tiny Dancer (Purple Collar) was the smallest at birth, but has gained on her siblings very nicely. She is definitely a snuggler. She is the seamstress for the band, better hold her close.
Waltzing Matilda (Light Pink Collar) is a BIG girl. She is the largest pup but prefers to use her charm over brute strength when finding a way onto our laps. My 7 year old claims she has “powers.” She will happily travel in your tucker bag as your partner in all of life’s grand adventures.
Shotgun Willie (Green Collar) is a fun-loving boy who has lots of his dad’s traits. He loves to be held while he’s sitting around in his underwear.
Julio (Blue Collar) likes to hang out down by the school yard and play with all the kids. Julio is excellent at bath time. He is so much fun!
Sue (Red Collar) is a poet-at-heart. He’s a tender-hearted boy with a bruiser’s body. He will be somebody’s best-pal for sure.
